Before Vengeance (Cosmic Balance 0.5) Review

About the book

What if everything you’ve ever known, down to what you are, was a lie?

Growing up in the enchanted kingdom of Dualsing, seventeen-year-old Lady Serafina has always known she’s different. Her fae power never manifested itself during puberty, and her parents treated her like a tolerated houseguest rather than family. Even her childhood sweetheart, Crown Prince Eldon, distanced himself the moment he was old enough to know the secret about Serafina that everyone in their world seems to know—except her.

Now her upcoming birthday is being treated as a national holiday by the very people who have neglected her and Serafina is developing abilities that feel terrifyingly right, but aren’t fae power at all.

As she starts to investigate her origin, Serafina has no idea she will be setting in motion events that will have far-reaching consequences not just for herself, but for all the planes.

Note: BEFORE VENGEANCE is a prequel of VENGEANCE BE MINE.

My Review

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I read this book after reading Vengeance be mine, so it came to me as a completely different story. I think I would like to read a little more about Serafina in future books. This book was short, but entertaining.

I really loved the whole book, and found that I was completely into the book so much that I forgot all about dinner yet again. When you are caught up in a good book dinner doesn't seem to matter as much.

If you are looking for a good book with a very unique story line, and lots of fantasy than this book is one that you should give a try. From vengeance demons, to pixies, to a lone dragon, all the way to Fae, and much more this book was enough to keep me fully entertained.

Welcome to Hell (Mel Goes to Hell #1) Review

About the book

 "Good morning. Welcome to HELL."

Mel hates job interviews – and this one's shaping up to be the interview from Hell.

From the grumpy receptionist to the disturbingly demonic interview panel and the sleazy CEO, it seems landing her first job is the least of Mel's worries.

Can she make it out of the office alive without selling her soul?

My Review
This book was only 30 pages.
This book was different. I liked it, but it needed more character building. I want to know what the characters look like. I want to know how they feel about everything. However seeing as how this is a short novella I am guessing it should pick up in the next book.

First Blade Review

About the book

Zak Goodwin is a creature unlike any other; half vampire and half angel, and he’s having a bad day. With demons destroying his home, intent on stealing the ring he’s worn for over 500 years, a ring with incredible power, Zak and his team of warrior vampires are forced to relocate.

Georgia Pearce resists being labelled a psychic, but cannot deny that she has visions of the future. When the dark and mysterious Zak Goodwin moves to her town she is irrevocably drawn into his world, and all the danger that entails. And as much as the handsome and annoying vampire + angel hybrid intrigues her, dare she tell him of her vision…the one of his death?

My Review

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

First page! That was all it took to engulf me in this book. Page 1 was filled with action, demons, vampires, and a very powerful half-breed. I could not put this book down, or at least I didn't want to, but of coarse my e-reader has to die sometime.

If you are looking for a book with huge amounts of action, vampires, and some very sexy romance scenes than I would definitely recommend this book to you. This book is not for someone for the faint of heart. This is a book for someone who wants to loose sleep with one heck of a book.

This book had it all. It was completely unpredictable and for that reason it had me hooked in, and flipping pages every chance I got. I got to become the characters. I got to be a part of the book, and live it all. This book had surround sound so huge that not even a TV, or anything else could pull you away from. I chose to read, instead of eat dinner; more like I forgot about dinner until 9:00pm and then said oh well, the book is my number one priority now.

That being said this book was great. I will tell you this book is strictly an adult book due to extreme violence and mature content.

About the book
Free on kindle unlimited, or $3.99 to buy!
 HERO OR VILLAIN? YOU DECIDE.

When she decided to become a vigilante, no one told 17-year-old Aria Fae about the possibility of public backlash, or the attention the media would garner by dubbing her The Masked Maiden of Grant City.

Now, she must face her past and defeat The Scarecrow once and for all, or die trying.

My Review

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This in no way reflects my opinion of the book.

If you like a good action packed book with twists and turns, and some fantasy thrown into the mix than this one is for you.

I really loved this book. I thought that it was beautifully written, besides a few slight spelling errors, but hey that comes with an ARC copy. I thought this book was extremely exciting, and fun to read. It even had some survival scenes in it, which made it even better. I was happy with the ending, but also shocked. Then came a slight, not a huge one, but a small cliffhanger. It was enough to make me want to read the next book as soon as possible. I think if I read more of this series it will definitely keep me from being bored.

I was at my parents house taking care of the dogs while reading it. I love reading out loud, and so I read out loud, and all the dogs gathered around and laid down on the dog beds by the chair. If I had to pause to refill my water, they would look at me as if asking why did you stop. When I sat back down so did they to listen. So it is safe to say that the dogs enjoyed the book as much as I did.

I would definitely recommend this book to other readers that love the fantasy genera. There were a few provocative moments, but nothing huge that would shy me away from recommending this book to ages 16 and up.

Above The Flames by: Cassandra Fear (REVIEW)

About the book

Jasmine’s sixteenth birthday was the worst ever…

All in one day, her dad died, she met a demon, and her mother rejected her existence forever. After all, the demon who killed her dad was there to take her, and all because of her stupid powers—the ability to conjure blue flames.

Two years later, she’s happy. But happy never lasts…

After moving to Idaho to live with her grandparents, Jasmine has a new life. Almost nobody knows about her powers, and she’s just a normal teenager with normal problems. Then comes her eighteenth birthday—and the earthquake that changes her world forever.

An army of demons rise from Hell. And Jasmine is right in the middle of the battle…

When demons claw their way to Earth, Jasmine is surrounded by hundreds of fire-eyed beasts. Worse, she is captured by a big-shot demon named Bael. He’s a tricky foe with a chip on his shoulder—and the desire to make Jasmine use her powers for evil.

Amon is a fallen angel with an attitude—and everything to lose.

Successfully escaping the underworld undetected, Amon is on a quest to regain God’s grace when he rescues Jasmine from the clutches of a particularly nasty demon he knows all too well. The attraction between him and the not-entirely-human captive is instantaneous. Heavenly sparks fly, but ideas of romance will have to wait. First they have to stop the demon race from wiping out the mortal realm. Humanity’s fate rests in their hands.

Can two troubled angels rise above the flames to ensure a future for mankind? Or will Jasmine and Amon’s souls be bound together—in hell?

 My Review

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest Review Via Lovers of the Paranormal book group on goodreads.

There is a war brewing between angels and demons, and the angel blessed must help the angels fight back. If you are looking for an action packed book with angels, demons, and humans with angel powers than this book is for you. However due to extreme violence I would recommend this book to more mature readers.

I really enjoyed this book. From page one I was yanked into one heck of a story. This story never lost my attention until my eyes finally fell closed because of sleep deprivation; I would have fought to read more and keep my eyes open had my boyfriend not pestered me to come to bed. I did dream about the book, and woke up the next day after falling asleep at 6 am just trying to finish the last 40 pages; I picked up the book excited to finish the book, and I can't wait for book 2.

I am very happy to come across this book, because it was very unpredictable, and that made it more exciting, and had me flip page after page just wanting more. This book had great character and world building. I was able to attach myself to the characters and fall into the book feeling everything they felt. I felt like I was a part of the book. When there was fighting against demons I felt I was one of them fighting back with them. It is safe to say this book was pretty amazing.

Stolen Magic (Dragon's Gift: The Huntress #3) REVIEW

About the book:

Being a FireSoul has its perks. Cass Clereaux can find any type of magical treasure—or steal any type of magical power. She’ll pick hunting treasure any day because she doesn’t have to kill for it, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t stolen powers. She needs them to stay alive. Because a fight to the death is the least of what she can expect if other supernaturals find out what she is, she’s become an expert at laying low.

When her friend is sucked into a magical portal, she’s the only one with the power to help him. But what she uncovers is a danger greater than she’d ever imagined—and linked to her past in a way she’d never expect. Worse, the portal puts her whole town at risk. As the threat grows, she must confront her fear of losing control of her new powers, or lose any hope of saving hundreds of lives.

My Review:

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, yet again I am baffled by another amazing book this year. I love coming across great stories. I enjoyed this book 100%.

If you are looking for a book that has tons of magic, action, and lots of excitement then this one is for you.

Yeah I was up all night with this one. It is about 3am, but hey books are my best friend. This book had me on the edge of my seat. I never knew what was going to happen, there were even times when I had to remember to keep my voice down, because I live in an apartment where other neighbors can hear my yelps and screams through thin walls. I am not talking about screams of fear, but screams like "WHAT?" or "OMG!" and of coarse I was very vibrant with excitement all through the book that even my boyfriend told me to calm down. So yes the book was that good, and that fun to read. Never a dull moment!

Demons Grave Review (Demons Grave #1)

About the book:

When strange shadows and messages plague Nora's daily life she fears for her sanity. To escape questions from her family, Nora joins her friends on a weekend getaway. Despite not liking Aidan Birket, Nora finds his remote, Victorian house charming. Until they discover the marble doorway on the third floor and, against Nora's better judgment, they open it.

Drawn into an unfamiliar place called the Demon's Grave, the group face a charismatic demon and a set of Challenges. Six nightmarish realities for the six of them is the punishment. Those that make it to the end can go home, but those that don't will be his forever. Friendships are tested, secrets revealed and sacrifices will be made.

Nora battles zombies, doppelgängers, eyeless bikers, and the demon--whose interests are more than just a game of cat and mouse. If it's all in her head, then it should be easy. But, if not, it means the demon knows everything and her past and the death of her twin sister.

My Review:
I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for review Via Netgalley.

This book was an action packed paranormal/fantasy thrill ride. I never knew what would happen next this book had me swiping page after page not wanting to stop, and never coming up for air until i finished the very last page, and now I just want the second book now. I can't wait till I get the chance to read the next two books. This is a very amazing, and addictive series!

There was absolutely nothing that I did not like about this book; this book was 100% perfection in my eyes, and for that reason I would recommend this book to other readers that love the Fantasy/Paranormal genera, however there is some violence and other things that may not be suitable for a younger reader, so I recommend this book to adults.

Embrace (The Violet Eden Chapters #1)

About the book:

 It starts with a whisper.

It's time for you to know who you are..."

Stange dreams leave her with very real injuries and there's a dark tattoo weaving its way up her arms. The guy she thought she could fall in love with just told her he's only half-human - oh, and same goes for her. And she keeps hearing a distant fluttering of wings.

Violet Eden is having a very bad 17th bithday.

But if angels seek vengeance and humans are warriors, you could do a lot worse than betting on Violet Eden.

My Review:

Wow, just wow. Such an amazing book!

If you are looking for a very different and unique action packed Angel book than this one is for you.

The second I picked up the book I was immediately drawn into the book. It took my mind completely away from the real world, the real world was where I was stuck in bed sick. I was so happy to have such an amazing story as a distraction. As I read on it became more than a distraction it became a part of me.

I just love the way this book was written. The love triangle in it bothered me a little, but when that little piece clicked as to why... Well I won't spoil that for you.

This book was unpredictable I never knew what was going to happen in the book. This book had so many twists and turns that it kept me up late into the night. I have to say I will probably be working on finishing the whole series by the end of this month. These books are just too good to say no to.

I would recommend this book to older teens, because of certain violent content, and some small sexual content.

Marked (House of Night #1) Review.

About the book:

After a Vampire Tracker Marks her with a crescent moon on her forehead, 16-year-old Zoey Redbird enters the House of Night and learns that she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess Nyx and has affinities for all five elements: Air, Fire Water, Earth and Spirit. But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite club, is mis-using her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny – with a little help from her new vampyre friends (or Nerd Herd, as Aphrodite calls them)

My Review:

I managed to find a used copy of this book at my local Hastings after I was robbed of over 5000 dollars worth of books, and cloths upon moving to a new apartment. Sadly Hastings is now going out of business. I am upset about it, because it was the perfect place to get my book fix. Anyways on to the review of the book.

This is the second time that I have read this book, and I still love the book. This book series is one that I could read over and over again, because it has a world and characters that I would never want to leave.

Seeing as how this book is young adult it does have a little bit of a high school feel at first. Despite the high school feel there is plenty of paranormal vampire action in the book. This is a very different book about vampires and one that I have fallen fully in love with. You not only have vampires, but magic too which makes the book addicting and exciting.

Fury's Kiss Review!

About the book:

Hawthorne, Massachusetts has always been a nice place, a safe place - a boring place. At least to waitress Tara Walker, who dreams of more excitement than slinging plates of seafood for Cape Cod tourists. But as Tara learns when she is attacked and forced to fight for her life, fate sometimes has a funny way of giving you exactly what you wish for. Faced with strange new powers and embroiled in a murder investigation, Tara must now race to uncover the secrets of the ancient Fury that has woken inside of her - and of the evil that stalks her.

As if Tara’s life hasn’t gotten complicated enough, she is forced to ally herself with Jackson Byrne, witness to her assault and uncle to a pint-sized oracle whose fate is intertwined with hers. Skeptical, stubborn, and oh-so-sexy, Jackson wrestles with demons of his own. He is determined to ignore the attraction rising between them even faster than the body count, but like it or not, he and Tara need each other if they are to unravel the mysteries that surround them.

My Review

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review Via Netgalley.

This was a great book! So many twists and turns, that you never know what to expect. If you want a kick butt paranormal romance with a ton of action, then this book is for you.

I really enjoyed the whole book. The book had me going from page one. I had a really hard time putting this book down, because I loved it so much. I am happy to say that I have finished the book, and I am also ready for the next book.

The romance in this book was completely perfect! I loved the connection the author made with all the characters as well. I love how the author made everything seem so real. This book literally had surround sound and a very clear picture of everything. The characters were very easy to relate to, and connect to. I would recommend this book to adults only, because of adult situations in the book.

FIRESPELL REVIEW.

About the book

When Lily Parker's guardians decided to send her away to a fancy boarding school in Chicago, Lily was shocked. So was St. Sophia's.

As the new girl at the elite St. Sophia's boarding school, Lily is surrounded by an ultra-rich bratpack. She's pretty sure her spoiled, petty, fashion-obsessed classmates are the most monstrous things she'll have to face, and surviving them and their cruel practical jokes is proving even tougher than the homework...

But on top of being the punchline to every joke, Lily's hearing strange noises and seeing bizarre things in the shadows of the creepy building. All building have their creaks and groans - but Lily could swear that she's being watched.

The only thing keeping her sane, so far, is her roommate Scout. But something strange is going on there too - Scout keeps disappearing late at night, reappearing bruised and tired, and she won't tell Lily where's she's been... until, that is, a prank leaves Lily trapped in the catacombs beneath the school. Lost in the dark Lily hear's footsteps heading towards her - it's Scout and she's running from a real monster.

Scout is part of a group of rebel teens with unique magical talents, sworn to protect the city against demons, vampires, and Reapers: magic users who've been corrupted by their power. Much as Lily would love to help, it's too dangerous without powers of her own - especially if she'd have to go up against the firespell herself..

My Review ✯✯✯✯

I was fortunate to find a used copy of books one and two which was great.

If you are looking for a boarding school Paranormal than this book is for you.

This book started off a little slow in the first couple chapters. By Chapter 3 it picked up, and turned into a really good story. I ended up getting sucked into the story. it took me a while to read, because life got in the way, but when I finally got the chance to sit down for hours to read it felt good. I got to escape from the world.

This was a good read, and very different read, however some parts were predictable to me. I did enjoy the book enough to want to read the next two books in the trilogy though.

I love how the magic was woven in. However I thought some parts of the magic were kinda weird and off, some parts about the magic made no sense at all.

All in all this is a 4 star book because I loved the book, but at the same time I found some parts confusing.

<SPOILER>

The stuff that confused me. The thing I didn't get about the magic is that some are born with it, and some aren't. Now if you are born with the magic the magic is essentially eternal. Sure there are consequences, but the consequences have nothing to do with draining life in order to keep magic. If you are born with it, than it stays. In the book it says you can choose to give it back to the earth if you don't want to harm others in order to keep the magic. Usually it is said that people can just not use it, and let it lie dormant. I have never heard of giving it away. I mean how does one give a werewolf away, or back to the earth? It makes no sense. At least that part. This is why I rated the book a 4 instead of a 5. Because this exact part made no sense and had me obsessing about how the author came up with it.

Kill It With Magic Review

BOOK COVER 1

BOOK COVER 2

The Blurb

Sixteen-year-old Lillim Callina is good at two things: running away and magic.

Now, Lillim's half-demon ex-boyfriend is contacting her for help, she has somehow gotten herself mixed up in a kidnapping, and her long-dead rival has risen from the grave.

So when a dragon plotting to take over the world offers her a choice: Work for him or else.

Lillim Callina is going to choose else.

Lillim Callina used to fight monsters for a living. That was before she broke up with her demonic boyfriend and fled from the city in the clouds to settle in Orange County, California.

How was she to know one piece of candy would have an ancient, unstoppable dragon kicking in her front door and demanding she help him take over the world? Or that it would get her stuck in the middle of a turf war between a werewolf king and a millennium old vampire?

Now, if Lillim wants to get out of this mess alive, she'll have to fight some monsters. Hopefully, she's not too rusty...

My Review:

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Want some magic in your day? How about action? How about an amazing day all to yourself, just you and the book. Then you need to read this book.

I honestly do have horrible insomnia, but it seems that if I read I am able to calm myself, and get some sleep.

If you are under stress or health issues you always need something to make you feel better right? Books are my something.

This book was definitely an amazing piece that took me away from worrying about everything in general. I guess what I am trying to say is that this book really made my night. It had my attention the whole time. It was like I got sucked in, and didn't come up for air until the end, because the book was very addictive.

This series is one that I can see staying a favorite of mine through all the other books as well.

A Witch's Kitchen ARC Review

This book is set to release around September 25th, 2016
It is also up for pre-order on Amazon at the moment
Pre-order link: Amazon

About the book:
Millie's a witch, so why can't she do magic?

Despite her mother’s best efforts to teach her, every spell Millie tries goes horribly wrong, but she’s a fabulous cook. When Millie conjures chocolate sauce instead of a transformation potion, her mother gives up and sends her to the Enchanted Forest School, where she’s bullied by goblins, snubbed by an elf, and has her hat stolen. Even as Millie’s magical talent begins to develop, turning her house ghost into a frog and accidentally charming her entire class, Millie starts to wonder: what if she’s not a witch at all? To find out, she and her new friends embark on a dangerous quest to find Millie’s father in the Logical Realm, in contemporary Salem, MA.

Deep in a fantasy realm adjacent to our own, the Enchanted Forest School is located in the branches of an enormous oak tree and has a dragon for a headmistress. Millie’s initial delight in attending school rapidly fades as she struggles in the unfamiliar social environment, encountering fellow students of magical races, making new friends, and discovering that her mother’s style of magic isn’t the only one available.

A Witch’s Kitchen is a delightful 54,000 word middle grade novel.

My Review will be below. I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC copy of this book.

My Review:
I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review through Netgalley.

This book takes you on a journey of a young girl trying to find herself, and her magic. She ends up with way more than she began with.

This story was a good story, however the book I think was for a much younger audience than young adult. This book was a fun read with all of the different creatures, oh and food. This book had a lot of food in it, so I recommend eating, before reading, or you will be starving for cravings all the way through.

All in all this book was very well written, and though it wasn't exactly the type of book for me with the age setting I would definitely recommend this book to middle grade students.

Phoenix Awakens ( Phoenix book 1) Review

The Blurb:

Julia Long is starting her senior year with an extra dose of crazy. The dreams of cultish, bloody rituals are weird enough, but the victim in her lifelike dreams is her new classmate, Southern charmer Graham.

Graham admits he was a Phoenix — part of a centuries old secret society — but swears he left it all behind. As Julia works with Graham to figure out why she is dreaming about his past, she's discovering she has other abilities. She heals Graham’s migraines with a touch, and there’s her superhuman strength that comes and goes. Julia doesn’t know where her new talents come from, but there’s no denying that when Graham is near, her powers kick into overdrive.

But the Phoenix Society wants Graham back. They need his blood to awaken the magic they seek, and they’ll do whatever it takes to get it.

Can Julia uncover the truth behind her connection to Graham? How far will Julia go in order to save Graham and stop the Phoenixes from harnessing this powerful magic?

My Review:

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review through Netgalley.

This book gives you one heck of a thrill with mystery, magic and so much more. So if you are looking for a book with quite a few twists and turns that take you on an exciting journey than you need to give this book a shot.

Julia is such an amazing character. You can easily fall in love with her, because of her big heart. Not only does she have a big heart, but she also has a way of growing on you. The world was so well built in this story along with the characters making it incredibly easy to fall into this world for hours. Instead of reading it is like you are there.

This book had it all. It had me saying What?... OMG... Wow.. then okay I need to go to bed, just one more page. Then nope that isn't gonna happen I have to read it all right now. Then the end comes and; No, but I need more right now. That is the moment when you discover how great the book was, and that it had a big enough impact on you that you actually need the next book in front of you right then.

I loved that I was able to just let everything go and escape to somewhere else. I read so that I can get away from life stresses, or boredom, yet at the same time I get to live so many other lives making me think about how beautiful life really is. I think if I didn't have books I would be totally bored out of my mind everyday. I just want to read the second book now. I can not wait until the next book comes out!

Mirror Mage Dragon's Gift: The Huntress Book 2 Review

The Blurb

Cass Clereaux likes her job. It’s simple—steal the magic, don’t get killed. FireSouls like her are perfect for magic treasure hunting. Their dragon soul helps them find treasure, their wicked powers help them steal it. But there’s a big freaking downside—FireSouls are hunted. If either of the magical governments figures out what she is, she can kiss her life goodbye.

When the Alpha Council comes to her with a special job, it’s a no-brainer to turn it down, no matter how much money they’re offering. Shifters who can sniff out her weird magic are the last supernaturals she needs to be around. Worse? They have a history of hunting FireSouls. But when Cass learns that a little girl’s life is at stake and Cass is her last hope, she doesn’t have a choice.

With her sisters and Aidan Merrick at her back, she’s got a chance at saving the girl and keeping her deadly secret—until she learns there’s far more to this kidnapping than meets the eye. It’s far too similar to what happened to her as a child, and everything new that she learns scares her even more.

My Review:

I received an ARC copy of this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review from the author.
Thank you very much for the opportunity to read, and review such an amazing book Linsey.

This book was literally an up all night book. Those books that give you a good kind of insomnia are the ones that you can't help but fall in love with.

Packed with action this book kept me hooked and flipping pages all through the night until now 6:39 am. I had to finish this book! If I put the book down once I would have a panic attack, and sit there saying forget it, sleep can wait. So worth it to loose sleep even though I know I have no time left to sleep before I have company.

I was really glad to a gotten a copy of the next book. I was sitting there thinking about when I would get the next book. I even had a plan to buy a copy as soon as possible, because I really loved the first book. Once I got a taste of the series I was hooked. These books are 100% amazing, and a favorite of mine.

With a mix of magic, shapeshifters, romance, and tons more you couldn't ask for more in a book. This book gave it all. This book did not disappoint!

Ancient Magic Dragon's Gift: The Huntress Book #1 Review

                                                                About the book:
I’m good at two things: finding treasure and killing demons. Lying low is a close third—but not because I want to be good at hiding. I have to be. I’m a FireSoul, one of the unlucky few to inherit a piece of the dragon’s soul. Being born with the dragon’s covetousness should be a sweet gig - I have the power to find and steal any type of treasure, including the powers of other supernaturals.

But it doesn’t come without a price - stealing powers requires that I kill, and others would destroy me if they discover what I am. In a world full of magic, hiding my species is the only way to survive. Finding magical artifacts is the only way to pay the bills. It’s a dangerous job when you can barely use your magic, but that’s one of the things I like about it.

When Aidan Merrick, the most powerful shifter in the city, hired me to find an ancient scroll, I didn’t want to take the job. His immense amount of power reminds me of too much of murky memories from a past I can’t remember. But I don’t have a choice. The scroll reveals what I am. And if anyone finds out, I’m dead.

My Review:  ✯✯✯✯✯

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review through Netgalley.

Looking for an action packed night with tons of adventure and magic not to mention an awesome shapeshifter? Get comfortable and pick up this book. You will not want to put it down. I know I couldn't.

This book had so many amazing things rolled into one. It has twists and turns that just grip you until the final page making you want only more. This book was very easy to sink into, and not leave. Sadly I do not have the second book. I tell you if I had all three books I would probably not sleep until I read all 3. This book was that good!

This book had great characters, all with features that easily built on me, and made me love them. I was so sunk into this book that I could feel the characters emotions, and even feel the magic coursing through them. This book was so amazing, that it had surrounded me and I became a part of it. I lost track of time, because I was living in another world. It is refreshing to be able to read something that can steal you away from your everyday worries, and life stuff. This book was the ultimate therapy. It has been a long time since I have been able to sit down, and read for a whole night and just escape to have new adventures, so I really enjoyed this book.

I would recommend this book to both adults ad teens that are looking for a good time, and an amazing adventure that you would want to last forever.

Witches Cursed Cabin (A Coon Hollow Coven Tale Book #2) Review!

About the book:
Eager to be on her own away from home, twenty-year-old Aggie Anders accepts a relative’s invitation to live in Coon Hollow Coven. Although she’s a witch from a different coven, what locals say about the Hollow confuses her. How can witchcraft there live and breathe through souls of the dead?

Aggie’s new residence in this strange southern Indiana world is a deserted homestead cabin. The property’s carriage house serves as the coven’s haunted Halloween fundraiser. It’s a great opportunity for her to make new friends, especially with the coven’s sexy new High Priest Logan.

But living in the homestead also brings Aggie enemies. Outsiders aren’t welcome. A cantankerous, old neighbor tries to frighten her off by warning her that the homestead is cursed. Local witches who practice black magic attempt to use their evil to drive Aggie away and rid their coven of her unusual powers as a sun witch.

Determined to stay and fit in, Aggie discovers not only that the cabin is cursed, but she alone is destined to break the curse before moonrise on Samhain. If she fails, neither the living nor the dead will be safe.

Series description:

The Coon Hollow Coven Tales series is about a coven of witches in a fictitious southern Indiana community, south of Bloomington, the neck of the woods where I spent my favorite childhood years surrounded by the love of a big family. The books are rich with a warm Hoosier down-home feel. There are interesting interactions between coven members and locals from the nearby small town of Bentbone. If magic wasn’t enough of a difference between the two groups, the coven folk adhere to the 1930s lifestyle that existed when the coven formed.

A note to readers: the books in the Coon Hollow Coven Tales series are written to be read in any order. The series is about one community, and its residents may pass in and out of various books, but each book has its own unique and special story to be told.

My Review: ✯✯✯✯✯
I received a copy of this book free of charge in exchange for an honest review via Lovers Of The Paranormal book group on Goodreads.

This book throws you into a world of magic, and mystery that you won't want to leave. If you want to spend a night just getting away from everyday life then pick this book up. It will put some awesome magic, and mystery that you can't resist into your night. Good for both adults and teens I would call this a book good for everyone.

I was sad that life, health, and other things had to interfere with reading this book. Every time I had to put down this book I huffed and pouted, because I wanted to go deeper into this amazing and well written world. GOOD NEWS: I finally got to finish this book, and was so amazed at how much adventure this gave my life. You walk through a mystery, and this mystery was one of those ones that kept you wondering, and trying to figure things out. Twists and turns all through the book keep you latched on.

This book had a big family feel to it. You could really get to know just how much characters cared about one another. Then of coarse along with that family feel there is always that one person that just doesn't get it, and wants to cause trouble. The family which were mostly just amazing friends close enough to be family stuck together through it all.

So much magic was in this book. The magic seemed old and mysterious, and at other times new and exciting. Magic is a complicated thing, but as it seems when used for good, good things happen.

I must sound a little mysterious talking about the book like this, that is me just trying not to spoil a great story. You can live the mystery all yourself, and enjoy the fun of it. Take that time before bed when you worry about the little, and big things, and give this book a shot. You might find that this magical book can make your night a great one.

Norma Jean's School of Witchery Book 1 Review

Norma Jean's School of Witchery Book 1
Author: Rose Montague
Book is available on Amazon!

The Blurb:

Jewel has a problem. She's in a witch school and can't get the most basic spells to work. Her true magical talents must remain hidden. That might be hard to do with a killer on the loose. Murder, mayhem, and magic with a little romance along the way.

My Review: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

This was amazing! This is one of those books that keeps you up all night. It is almost 6 am. I could not put the book down.

Rose takes you to a world of magic, and action. You won't want to put this one down. This book is easily a 5 star book. You won't be disappointed.

I loved this book completely through. I found the characters very easy to connect with, and at the same time felt like I was in their shoes. The characters also made me feel like I had a best friend. It is not often that I can find a book that I can actually come to the point of sadness of feeling like I am loosing a friend just by putting the book down. Hence the reason I could not put the book down.

That being said I would recommend this book to ages 15 and up, and to anyone looking for an action packed no nonsense amazing paranormal read.

She has no choice but to acknowledge the bonds that tie her to the other students, even if some of them refuse, to have the strength to defeat the demon that hunts them down.

My review:❤❤❤❤❤

I  received a free copy of this book from netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The fact that I received this book for free in now way affects my view of the book.

This book is an action packed emotional paranormal thrill ride of a book that I could not put down.

This book made me sweat at times, because I was so caught up in the action of the book. I was living it all. I was sad the book had to end. I have to get the next book ASAP. There is a cliffhanger that makes you not just want to read the next book, but to actually need it.

Packed with demons and some very strong individuals with some very unique powers; this book gave me what I needed to take my mind off of life stressors. This book was definitely worth my time. I actually went out of my way to buy an extra copy of the book just in case. Yes I loved the book that much.

This book does have violence in it, but no greatly mature situations. I would recommend this book to people between the ages of 16 and up.

WINGS OF HOPE REVIEW.

Book Discription:
"I am his muse. But not for long..."

When Mammon, the Prince of Greed, 'acquires' a half-blood slave known as 'Muse' for three nights, and bespells her with tales of a world where people live like kings and queens among towers of steel and glass, the seed of hope takes root in Muse's soul. But hope, for a half-human half-demon creature like her, is a dangerous thing. Especially when that tentative hope springs from the honeyed words of a Prince of Hell. What is Mammon's price for freedom?

Meanwhile Da'mean, her ruthless owner, would rather see her dead, than free. She belongs to him. She is his muse. And no beast will take her from him.

The world of the elemental demons is harsh and violent. Muse's kin are merciless, blood-hungry beasts, but little do they know, Muse has something far more dangerous coiled inside her, desperate for a taste of freedom.

Her humanity.

MY REVIEW: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
I recived a free copy of this book via Netgally in exchange for an honest review. The fact that I recived this book for free in no way affects my views of the book.

Thrown into a harsh world of elemental demons this book keeps you hooked with one strong girl. She is a tough cookie. She has been through so much that reading about her just proves that people are stronger than they think. Don't loose hope, there is always hope.

I was unable to put this book down. The world, and characters that were put before me took me to a new place where I became part of them, and their world.

Muse was nothing but a shell until one day she finds hope. A piece of hope that puts her through a loop, but all that matters is that it was there when she needed it. I found myself hanging on through every experience. I hit the end of the book and happiness washed over me that I had found such a well written, and interesting book.

This book is not for the faint of heart. I would recommend it to mature readers, because of violence.

Review For Ansel

ABOUT THE BOOK:

This is the third book from The Regiville Tales, a series of full-length novels by Desirae Grove. Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone, with its own HEA and no cliffhangers!

When Juniper’s friend Elysa invites her to dinner, the last thing she expects is to be set up on a blind date. And if that wasn’t the worst surprise ever, her date turns out to be her middle school nemesis, Ansel. Except now he looks like a male supermodel, with his dark hair, broody eyes, and a chiseled muscular body that makes her swoon. How can she ever say no to him, even if he teased her mercilessly when they were kids?

Ansel, a broody, freedom-loving werepanther, was ready to move to another country when his brother Kye invites him to dinner, only to find out he’s being set up on a blind date. When it turns out his date is Juniper, his long-forgotten crush, he can’t help but try to take things further with her. After all, he’s only been dreaming of her all his life. And women have never been able to say no to him in the past - his reputation as a man-whore was well deserved.

Their first date turns south very quickly, however. It’s full moon in the mysterious town of Regiville, and all kinds of creatures come out to play. Juniper is attacked by a beast and may or may not turn into…something she only thought was an urban myth. Don’t miss out on this tale of incredible adventures, as the two old friends try to untangle the mess they find themselves in and slowly fall in love with each other.

MY REVIEW: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The fact that I recived this book for free in no way affects my views of the book.

Thrust into a paranormal romance this book keeps you hooked from page 1. If you love paranormal romance than you will love this book.

This book was great, and I am happy to get the chance to read it. The character and world building was great. I was able to live in this world from 2 points of view. I absolutely loved that the book alternated through both main characters so that you don't miss how both feel, and react to everything.

This book was action packed so I never once lost interest. Even my parents dogs enjoyed the book. I happened to be house sitting, and reading out loud. Everytime I stopped reading the beagles would perk up their head up and give me that look of why did you stop.

When I had to go to bed in the middle of this book I found myself still thinking about the book. My heart was pounding, because I wanted to finish the book. I couldn't wait until the next time I got to sit down with this book.

I would recommend this book to adults that love a good paranormal romance.
