Before Vengeance (Cosmic Balance 0.5) Review

About the book

What if everything you’ve ever known, down to what you are, was a lie?

Growing up in the enchanted kingdom of Dualsing, seventeen-year-old Lady Serafina has always known she’s different. Her fae power never manifested itself during puberty, and her parents treated her like a tolerated houseguest rather than family. Even her childhood sweetheart, Crown Prince Eldon, distanced himself the moment he was old enough to know the secret about Serafina that everyone in their world seems to know—except her.

Now her upcoming birthday is being treated as a national holiday by the very people who have neglected her and Serafina is developing abilities that feel terrifyingly right, but aren’t fae power at all.

As she starts to investigate her origin, Serafina has no idea she will be setting in motion events that will have far-reaching consequences not just for herself, but for all the planes.

Note: BEFORE VENGEANCE is a prequel of VENGEANCE BE MINE.

My Review

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I read this book after reading Vengeance be mine, so it came to me as a completely different story. I think I would like to read a little more about Serafina in future books. This book was short, but entertaining.

I really loved the whole book, and found that I was completely into the book so much that I forgot all about dinner yet again. When you are caught up in a good book dinner doesn't seem to matter as much.

If you are looking for a good book with a very unique story line, and lots of fantasy than this book is one that you should give a try. From vengeance demons, to pixies, to a lone dragon, all the way to Fae, and much more this book was enough to keep me fully entertained.

Welcome to Hell (Mel Goes to Hell #1) Review

About the book

 "Good morning. Welcome to HELL."

Mel hates job interviews – and this one's shaping up to be the interview from Hell.

From the grumpy receptionist to the disturbingly demonic interview panel and the sleazy CEO, it seems landing her first job is the least of Mel's worries.

Can she make it out of the office alive without selling her soul?

My Review
This book was only 30 pages.
This book was different. I liked it, but it needed more character building. I want to know what the characters look like. I want to know how they feel about everything. However seeing as how this is a short novella I am guessing it should pick up in the next book.

First Blade Review

About the book

Zak Goodwin is a creature unlike any other; half vampire and half angel, and he’s having a bad day. With demons destroying his home, intent on stealing the ring he’s worn for over 500 years, a ring with incredible power, Zak and his team of warrior vampires are forced to relocate.

Georgia Pearce resists being labelled a psychic, but cannot deny that she has visions of the future. When the dark and mysterious Zak Goodwin moves to her town she is irrevocably drawn into his world, and all the danger that entails. And as much as the handsome and annoying vampire + angel hybrid intrigues her, dare she tell him of her vision…the one of his death?

My Review

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

First page! That was all it took to engulf me in this book. Page 1 was filled with action, demons, vampires, and a very powerful half-breed. I could not put this book down, or at least I didn't want to, but of coarse my e-reader has to die sometime.

If you are looking for a book with huge amounts of action, vampires, and some very sexy romance scenes than I would definitely recommend this book to you. This book is not for someone for the faint of heart. This is a book for someone who wants to loose sleep with one heck of a book.

This book had it all. It was completely unpredictable and for that reason it had me hooked in, and flipping pages every chance I got. I got to become the characters. I got to be a part of the book, and live it all. This book had surround sound so huge that not even a TV, or anything else could pull you away from. I chose to read, instead of eat dinner; more like I forgot about dinner until 9:00pm and then said oh well, the book is my number one priority now.

That being said this book was great. I will tell you this book is strictly an adult book due to extreme violence and mature content.

The Masked Maiden (The Aria Fae Series #2) Review

About the book
Free on kindle unlimited, or $3.99 to buy!
 HERO OR VILLAIN? YOU DECIDE.

When she decided to become a vigilante, no one told 17-year-old Aria Fae about the possibility of public backlash, or the attention the media would garner by dubbing her The Masked Maiden of Grant City.

On top of this added heat, a rogue supernatural known as The Scarecrow has escaped his prison, and his history with Aria makes her the crazed warlock’s obvious target.

Now, she must face her past and defeat The Scarecrow once and for all, or die trying.
When things reach their worst, will The Masked Maiden be the hero Grant City needs, or the villain they’ve made her out to be?

My Review

I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This in no way reflects my opinion of the book.

If you like a good action packed book with twists and turns, and some fantasy thrown into the mix than this one is for you.

I really loved this book. I thought that it was beautifully written, besides a few slight spelling errors, but hey that comes with an ARC copy. I thought this book was extremely exciting, and fun to read. It even had some survival scenes in it, which made it even better. I was happy with the ending, but also shocked. Then came a slight, not a huge one, but a small cliffhanger. It was enough to make me want to read the next book as soon as possible. I think if I read more of this series it will definitely keep me from being bored.

I was at my parents house taking care of the dogs while reading it. I love reading out loud, and so I read out loud, and all the dogs gathered around and laid down on the dog beds by the chair. If I had to pause to refill my water, they would look at me as if asking why did you stop. When I sat back down so did they to listen. So it is safe to say that the dogs enjoyed the book as much as I did.

I would definitely recommend this book to other readers that love the fantasy genera. There were a few provocative moments, but nothing huge that would shy me away from recommending this book to ages 16 and up.
